The University of the Philippines Cebu’s Team HexT, consisting of our Computer Science students, Raethan Christian Supatan, Lizter Angelo Abrau, Kenz Jehu Barina, Chris Loui Canete, Wince Dela Fuente, Kashi Kyle Estudillo, and John Elias Mojado, received the award “Best Product in Developing an Application” from the APPCON2023 on June 30, 2024, at One Esplanade, Mall of Asia Complex, Pasay City. They were accompanied by Mr. Ryan Ciriaco M. Dulaca as their mentor.
The team’s product, Folderly, is an app that helps students organize tasks, manage files, develop healthy study habits, and improve mental wellness through personalized tools like to-do lists and mindfulness exercises. The theme for AppCon 2023 was “A web or mobile application to address social issues in the Philippines”‘ with participation from 222 teams.
